Symphony of Contrast

Inspired by the renaissance paintings depicting the battles of heaven and earth and Hell, I wanted to create my own Battle. This Battle turned into a symphony of contrast. A battle of light and dark involving over 50 characters. The characters with their own personalities start in black with sliver outline, as you look up through the artwork light starts to appear. By halfway, it is 50/50  in some areas. Like in life, I did not want to make the dividing line straight, it is uneven. As your eyes reach the top of the artwork, you see the most white and just a black outline is evident. 

The Symphony of Contrast is a symphony of light, and can be seen also as a symphony of good and evil. As both are contrasts. The darker the character the more serious they are, the more light the more playful the characters get. 

The shamrock in the left-hand corner represents my pride in being Irish. The love heart in brackets in the right-hand corner represents my view that love is the most important thing in the world. Together they make up my in-artwork signature.
